Our rink is powered by Synthetic Ice Solutions. It is a synthetic resin that can be skated on exactly as you would on ice. It is important to ensure your skates are properly sharpened for the best skating experience.

Yes, we have rental skates and helmets for all sizes. Please note helmets are mandatory to skate on our rooftop.

Yes, you can definitely bring your own equipment - make sure your skates are well sharpened and your helmet fits snug- safety first! Any helmet that fits properly and safely is sufficient, including bike helmets. If your skates aren't sharpened enough, not to worry. We offer complimentary skate sharpening if you need it at SkySkate. Just ask one of our team members!

Yes, helmets are mandatory for all guests to skate on our rooftop, as well as for everyone stepping foot on the rink surface. If parents are assisting their children on the rink, they are required to wear helmets, regardless of if they are skating as well.

Yes, we will have alcoholic beverages for 19+ . A valid ID must be shown at point of purchase. Please note alcoholic drinks may only be consumed after you have finished skating up top.

Effective October 22, 2021 all guests will be required to show proof of vaccination by presenting their enhanced vaccine certificate with official QR code. If you have not yet downloaded your certificate, you can do so here ahead of your visit.

There are heaters on the rooftop surrounding the rink. We do suggest you dress warmly for our good ol’ Canadian winter weather.

We take the health and safety of our guests and staff very seriously; there are of course inherent risks in skating at any time/place and you are required to sign a waiver. We will be enforcing single direction skating, groups will be required to maintain distance from each other and our ‘Referee’ will be ensuring skaters comply with safe practices. Anyone who chooses to not comply with safe skating will be required to leave the premises. For more information, please check out our Health & Safety practices here.

We follow all Toronto Health Regulations. Masks must be worn at all times in our venues. You are permitted to remove your masks only when seated at your designated table where you are able to consume food and beverages.

Both street parking and parking garages are located in the area.

All ages are welcome at SkySkate from Sunday-Thursday. SkySkate is a 19+ venue after 7PM on Friday and Saturday nights. Guests under 18 years old will be required to have an adult supervisor to sign waivers and be in attendance during skating. Valid photo ID will be required for all alcoholic beverage purchases.

Yes, we highly suggest you make a reservation. Walk-ins are allowed but subject to capacity. Book ahead so you don’t miss out!

SkySkate is open rain, snow, or shine! However, due to safety precautions, our team will contact you if we are unable to open due to extreme weather conditions, and work with you to reschedule your booking.

All payments are non-refundable. We are happy to rebook you to another available time and date should your original reservation not work out for you. Please contact us at reservations@theporchto.com for assistance.
